The Swenakailo Story

What does "Swenakailo" mean?

The word "Swenakailo" is derived from two Proto-Indo-European roots: swena, "to sound," from which the English words consonant, sonata, sonic, sonnet, unison, and swan are derived; and kailo, "whole, uninjured, of good omen," from which we derive health, whole, hale, hallowed, healing, and holy. (To translate, mix and match: think consonant health, sonic healing, holy unison.)

Where does it come from?

The practice and philosophy of Swenakailo traces its roots to the Muzoracle, first published by Jeff Kingfisher in 2008. Its influences include the work of G.l. Gurdjieff, acoustic science, music theory, sacred geometry, the Tarot, the wisdom  of the ancient Near East... and the practices that accompany those ideas.

In 2018 Jeff began playing and singing privately for his mother to relieve her suffering. It is from that profound experience, along with developments in the Muzoracle system, that the practice of Swenakailo began to fall together—taking cues as well from Science of Mind, Kundalini Yoga, and fresh dives into western mysticism (especially the sayings and prayers of Yeshua in Aramaic.)

Before opening The Swenakailo Center for Music and the Healing Arts, Jeff offered Swenakailo at The Seventh Harmonic and at the CREATE Center, both in Palm Desert. In March of 2026, bodyworker Billy Chen and holistic healer Judy Osuna joined the center as partners. Lee Avillanoza and Belle Kent are "practitioner members," booking the space as needed—and others may join us soon.
